Early Admission and Early College Start

Early Admission for Superior High School Students

High school students with a 3.30 grade point average (4.00 scale) may be permitted to begin college work at Stillman before graduation from high school. Students selected for early admissions will receive regular college credit for courses successfully completed.  In addition to the grade point average, the prospective student must be recommended by his/her school Guidance Counselor or other High School officials who are qualified to attest to his/her eligibility.

Early College Start (i.e., Dual Enrollment)

Stillman College allows students to earn both high school and college credit in select courses--an opportunity that is referred to as "Early College Start" or "Dual Enrollment." To view the full list of courses, please click on the following link to visit our webpage, "Dual Enrollment Program." The college offers two types of dual enrollment:

  1. Dual Enrollment through partnerships with local school districts (via Elevate Tuscaloosa's Dual Enrollment Scholarship Program)
  2. Independent Dual Enrollment for students wanting to pursue college courses on their own (i.e., independent dual enrollment applicants may apply to Stillman's fall, spring, or summer semesters). All students enrolled in the Independent Dual Enrollment Program are responsible for the cost of all tuition and fees.
